In prosthetics a basic distinction is made between 3 types of restorations: fixed prosthesis, removable prosthesis and a combination of both, called combined denture.<\/p>\n

Fixed prostheses include, for example, crowns and bridges, as well as single crowns on single implants or bridges on implants.
\nRemovable dentures include , for example, full dentures or clasp dentures.
\nThe so-called combined work includes telescopic work.
\nAll 3 types of dentures or prostheses can be seated directly on your own tooth or on implants if there is no healthy, stable tooth to provide sufficient support. When using implants as supporting abutments, we try to avoid the use of unsightly and unpleasant palatal plates as much as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

To place a large prosthesis, you can work with a metal or zirconium bar (= all-ceramic bar) or with magnets or telescopes on implants or individual teeth.<\/p>\n

Crowns can be further divided into all-metal crowns (= all-ceramic crowns), metal-ceramic crowns, i.e. a metal framework with a ceramic coating on the surface, or all-ceramic crowns (framework AND ceramic coating). .<\/p>\n

Depending on what you value (whether it is tooth preservation, a minimally invasive procedure, price, comfort, safety, ease of care or esthetics), we will work with you to find the optimal solution for you.<\/p>\n

Use of functional analysis (CMD) for optimal fit of dentures
\nAt our Dental Planet dental clinic we also use functional analysis (functional diagnosis or CMD) to help with dentures or prosthetic work to provide the dental technician with detailed information about the patient’s jaw position.<\/p>\n

This data helps the dental technician to fabricate the prosthesis in such a way that optimal centricity of the jaw can be achieved.<\/p>\n

The great advantage of an optimal jaw position for the patient is that the jaw muscles are permanently relaxed and other health problems can be avoided or corrected.<\/p>\n

During functional diagnosis or functional analysis it can be determined exactly which movement disorders are present and corrective measures can be taken.
\nThe optimal jaw position can be found based on the measurement results.<\/p>\n
